June 19, 2001: Thanks to everyone for your patience, as we've been offline for quite sometime due to the acquisition of our local ISP by a national company and the very hectic schedule of your humble Webmistress. We're happy to be back and, with our digital camera, hopefully less sporadic about updates to these pages.
All is truly verdant here at Windy Hill. This is an exciting time for our family; Langdon received his "diploma" last week and has for all intents and purposes finished his residency. He has been working very hard on a variety of domestic and professional projects and can nearly always be found between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. happily mounted on the lawn steed cutting walking paths around our property, refinishing furniture, or giving TLC to the young trees he's planted this year. Then it's time to study for boards and read about health and the global environment.
Isaiah is fast closing in on his 2nd birthday, and thinks summer -- and all that time to play outside -- is just heavenly. He is ever more active, running and climbing and jumping and helping Papa by pushing his toy lawnmower around the yard. Summer reading includes Where the Wild Things Are, Stellaluna and The Snowy Day.
Josh is on summer vacation from Doggie Daycare and gets to spend most of his days with Papa. It's boring when they have to stay inside and read, but those few precious hours out on the land, smelling smells and terrorizing small furry creatures, make it all worthwhile.
My work continues to go well. It's been a tough 6 months for us given the stock market decline, but Horsesmouth recently penned a contract with Charles Schwab and we have some other good business pending. We continue to make exciting strides in the quality of our service and it's very rewarding for me to be part of the team driving our strategic initiatives.
On to the good stuff. Here are some pictures from the last few months.
