INTRODUCTION TO PMC, $125, Open to all student levels

Create jewelry without metalsmithing skills! Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a new
age product developed by the Mitsubishi Corp. Of Japan that includes microscopic metal particles with an organic binder to
form a claylike material that can be shaped, textured, sanded and drilled. After firing to 1650F the binder disappears
and we are left with a fine silver (.999 pure silver) product. Projects in this class will include earrings, a pendant
with bale, and a double sided bead.

THREE EARRINGS, $155, Open to all student levels

Learn 3 different earring techniques using Precious Metal Clay. Create contemporary
two tone earrings on a handformed wire, textured earrings with a set stone and soldered posts, and french hook earrings with
a stone fired in place.

MAKING RINGS WITH PMC, $145

Learn 3 techniques for making rings using molds, applying PMC paper or syringe for
texture, and the twice fired method. Sizing of rings will be discussed.

MEDALLION BRACELET, $115, Open to all student levels

Textured medallions of Precious Metal Clay will be joined together with sterling jumprings,
or silver wire and pearls, to create a one-of-a-kind bracelet.

Learn the secret of the "idiot's delight". This sterling and goldfill bracelet
with toggle clasp can be made again and again, once the technique is mastered. This bracelet will be completed with

Recondition an old necklace, make a new one - or both! Information on stringing, clasps, and finishing necklaces
and bracelets will be given, with an emphasis on supplies, tools and suppliers.

HOLLOW FORMS, $155

Students will learn the technique for creating hollow forms, make large and small double
sided beads, and domed forms. Projects in this class include a large domed lentil bead & domed earrings. Combine
this class with GOLD class for a 2 day class package for $215.
GOLD APPLICATIONS FOR PMC, $70
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16, 10am-1pm
Ocean City, MD
Learn the techniques for applying gold to PMC. We will explore the ancient Korean
art of keumboo - applying very thin layers of 24K gold by heat and burnishing, and 24K gold electroplating. Students
must provide completed fine silver pieces ready for gold application.

PMC BEYOND THE BASICS, $145

An intermediate workshop for those who have previously worked with PMC and are ready
to go beyond the basics. Covered in this workshop will be firing stones in place, firing bezels in place, stone setting,
working with PMC paper to create woven looks and basic torch soldering techniques. Projects will include earrings, pendant
and pin.

Once learned, this bechnique can be used over and over again to create bracelets and
necklaces with gold, silver, pearls or other semi precious gem beads. If time allows, we will also make a pearl
